RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Full freedom in designing & grayboxing small, medium, and large POIs for first & third person perspectives.
  • This was the first level design pillar where I’ve worked on using the design pillar of Modular Toolkits, making sure my graybox walls, doors, and windows are the correct size for the in-game player scaling
  • I designed some awesome-looking 2D Prototypes.
  • Did some landscape sculpting and designed POI Locations.
  • I did some level art, specifically landscape painting, blending, and path painting for player pathing.
  • Some lighting and set dressing for interior designs & environments.
  • I did some visual scripting in setting up power-ups and their spawn locations. I also scripted some death areas for players to push other players into and scripted some visual events to make the levels stand-out and be more beautiful.
  • Worked with Programmers & Artists to create level design content.
  • I was on the Level Design Team, working with Lucas Lemmond, David D’orazio, Marko, Azi Marquis, Donnie, & Timo.

ACHIEVEMENTS

  • I got to practice and improve my skills in grayboxing. I learned about the scale of my designs and how much detail to put into them for artists to model!
  • This was my first AAA quality studio job in the industry, and I am so proud of what I’ve learned from working with everyone in the studio!
  • I learned so much from their Lead Level Designer, Lucas Lemmond who personally mentored me to improve my Level Design work.
